Pitigliano

Pitigliano, a splendid village in the Tufo Area, is also known as the “Little Jerusalem” due to its Jewish Ghetto and Synagogue. It is a fascinating town in southern Tuscany and an unmissable destination. Perched on a tuff rock spur, it appears as if suspended in the void, especially when observed at night… a true enchantment! In Pitigliano, you must not miss the visit to the Cathedral, the Church of San Rocco, the Orsini Palace, the Museums, and the unmissable Vie Cave, ancient communication routes carved into the tuff by the Etruscans

Sovana

Sovana is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, with ancient origins dating back to Etruscan times. Originally known as Suana, it was an important center during the Roman Empire. The town of Sovana is famous for being the birthplace of Ildebrando di Suana, better known as Pope Gregory VII, during the Middle Ages.. While strolling through the streets of the village, you will come across the Palazzo Pretorio, the Palazzo dell’Archivio, the Loggia del Capitano, the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore, the Aldobrandeschi Fortress, and the Cathedral with the Episcopal Palace.

Sorano

A wonderful medieval village, Sorano is one of the gems of the Tufo Area, a territory inhabited since Etruscan times. The area surrounding Sorano is home to the Archaeological Park “Città del Tufo,” where the ancient Etruscan settlements, necropolises, and Vie Cave (carved roads) are preserved. This is an invaluable testimony to the past of this territory. In Sorano, you cannot miss visiting the Church of San Nicola, the Orsini Fortress, and the city walls, with its two ancient gateways, Porta di Sopra and Porta dei Merli.
